TENDERTWIN LIVE PERFORMANCE AT WILD CANVAS CAMPING

Tendertwin Trio - Live

Saturday 15 August

The project of Istanbul-born, now London-based Bilge Nur Yilmaz, Tendertwin is a forager for half-lived stories. Nurtured transatlantic, her distinctive voice subtly soaks up Turkey’s rich musical heritage from the lapping tides of the Black Sea and Mediterranean, filtering it through drifting time spent in Philadelphia, Oxford, and London. Her music blends alternative folk with experimental elements, weaving landscapes into ambient textures, wrong-footing melodies, and unpredictable arrangements. With subtle allusions to the likes of Fiona Apple, Linda Perhacs, and Sharon Van Etten, her storytelling is centered around a voice both delicate and arresting.

Da Lata at Wild Canvas

Da Lata - Live

Saturday 29 August

Da Lata is the brainchild of Chris Franck (founding member of Smoke City) and DJ Patrick Forge.

In 1998 they recorded the song “Pra Manha” and were subsequently signed to Chris Blackwell’s Palm Pictures label. Their debut album “Songs from the Tin” was released in 2000 to great critical acclaim. The live band went on to tour Europe, US and Japan which included a line up of drummer Tristan Banks (Steve Winwood), keyboard and vocalist Mike Lindup (Level 42) bass player Andy Lafone, vocalist Liliana Chachian and percussionist Oli Savill.
