Mucho Soul
Mucho Soul began back in 2001 as a monthly club night in Soho, London. The brainchild of long time muso’s & record collectors Alan Kenny Arscott (DJ A.K.A) and Ket Shah. Mucho Soul initially set out to encompass all manner of audio delights with the emphasis on Soul, playing to a discerning and appreciative Saturday night crowd. Their soulful concept soon developed to include a more varied and eclectic selection of black influenced dance music from Jazz, Disco, Reggae, Funk, and House through to the very best in Nu Electronica.
Following those early heady days at the turn of the new millennium, Mucho Soul went on to appear and guest at various high profile events throughout the noughties including the Inspiracion Festival Tenerife alongside Gilles Peterson, Rainer Truby and Simbad, The Sunsplash Festival Turkey with Norman Jay, Phil Asher and Jamie Lidell and The Southport Weekender 50th Anniversary with Chaka Khan, Archie Bell & The Drells, Carl Cox and Kerri Chandler.
In addition to the many regular live DJ appearances Alan & Ket also present their popular Mucho Soul Radio Show every Wednesday on Totally Wired Radio. The show has built up a strong following for its broadcasts which have included critically acclaimed interviews with Jazz Funk legend Lonnie Liston Smith, Acid Jazz Pioneers Eddie Pillar and Dean Rudland amongst many others.
D.J A.K.A (Alan Kenny Arscott) & Ket Shah have over 40 years of experience between them as they continue to conistently deliver quality soulful music taking you on a twisting turning adventure in sound.
